This is an opportunity for you to explain to the solicitor your particular circumstances and what you want to do next. Your solicitor will give you a detailed assessment of your case and advice on the next steps.

Your solicitor will need to know:

• Your name and full address

• The name and full address of your spouse

• The date and place of marriage

• The names and ages of any children from the marriage

• Housing status

• Employment details

• Income, pension and savings/capital/investments for you and your spouse

• Brief details of separation or dispute

• Outline of financial situation

When you book this option we will send you a financial questionnaire which once completed will allow us to proceed.

You get up to 2 hours advice and discussion (by phone, e-mail or face to face, whichever is more convenient for you) with one of our experienced specialist family solicitors. They will advise you as to what steps you might be well advised to  take next and (if they have enough information from you) what the parameters of possible likely financial settlement arrangements may be. The aim is to leave you knowing roughly where you stand, where you may be able to get to and how to get there.
